Reports on Volunteering in Bali

Bali is the most visitor friendly island of Indonesia. Volunteering in Bali thus not only means to make use of that hospitality. It is our focus to support the communities and non-profit organizations by motivated volunteers who want to help.

In all volunteer projects our volunteers are as close to the locals and their culture as in no other project. This special experience always left a birthmark in their heart.

Hannes about his experience as volunteer at a street kids project

"Actually all my expectations have been exceeded! I´m super happy about my projects and how everything worked out. In the morning I´m visiting an Indonesian language class and 5 days a week I´m working in a street kids project for 3-5 hours.

Studentsgoabroad.com was and still is a great partner for my going abroad. They arranged all the comlicated visa stuff, picked me from the airport, organized a super nice apartment with 2 other students and even arranged a scooter for me. Even though I sometimes might ask them silly questions the stay friendly and help me in all aspects of my stay. If you’re thinking about doing something similar – DO IT!

Simon about volunteering in an orphanage for deaf-mute children

"I volunteered in a deaf-mute home for children, everyday from Monday till Friday. We tried to keep the children active in training vocabulary and pronounciation in plays. To be honest, there were times when it turned out to be an ordeal sometimes. Patience is a virtue. But the it was all worth it as you start to appreciate small senses of achievements and to see the gratitude and respect in the children's eyes."
